Is this a will?
No. The Family File is an organiser. It tells your family where your will is, who to call and what you want. It does not replace a will or legal advice.
Do I write my passwords in it?
No, never. You write where a password is kept and who can get to it. The file shows you how to set up the official legacy access tools from Apple, Google, Facebook and password managers.
How do I fill it in?
Type into the fillable PDF on a computer or tablet (Adobe Acrobat Reader, Preview, GoodNotes or Notability), or print it (A4 or US Letter) and write by hand. The Family and Complete editions also include a tablet edition with clickable tabs for GoodNotes.
How long does it take?
Most people finish in a weekend: six or seven sessions of about 30 minutes.
Which countries does it work in?
Every country. The pages are written to work wherever you live. Where the rules differ from country to country — registering a death, probate, estate tax — the file tells your family what to ask and to check the official guidance where you live.
Can my partner use it too?
Yes. The Family and Complete editions cover you and your spouse or partner, plus the Parents' Edition for one set of parents.

Can I get a refund?
The files are digital and delivered instantly, so once they are downloaded we can't take them back. That's why every page is shown on the product page before you buy. If a file is faulty or won't open, email us and we will put it right straight away.
